KPT Collaborative | Downtown Hudson, Wisconsin
Hosted by Kim Peterson
If you know me, you know I start business planning in October. I want time to think, question my assumptions, and make changes before January’s calendar fills with everyone else’s priorities.
That intentional approach was an important part of how I built my mortgage business into a top 1% practice. In this first KPT LAB, I’m sharing the planning practices that helped me focus my attention and follow through, using approachable exercises you can apply to your own business.
We’ll reflect on what’s working, consider what you want your business to make possible, and decide what deserves your energy in 2027.
I’m personally inviting 20 women whose goals I know, thoughtfully considering the experiences, perspectives, and connections we can offer one another.
The first 12 to register for this lab will have a seat. You’ll have room to ask questions, share ideas, and hear possibilities you might not recognize on your own.
What you’ll work toward
AGENDA:
9:00–9:30 | Welcome and reflection
Take stock of 2026. What worked, what drained you, and what have you learned?
9:30–10:30 | Define your vision and find your focus
Explore what you want professionally and personally. Use BOP—Brainstorm, Organize, Prioritize—to make sense of the ideas and responsibilities on your plate.
10:30–10:45 | Break
10:45–11:30 | Choose what matters
Identify three priorities and make your Stop/Start/Keep decisions.
11:30–Noon | Feedback and your afternoon project
Exchange perspectives with a partner and choose one specific outcome to work toward.
Noon–1:00 | Lunch on your own
1:00–2:15 | Focused coworking
Work on your chosen project, with Kim available for questions and brief guidance.
2:15–2:30 | Break and optional check-in
2:30–3:45 | Continue building
Refine your direction, develop an idea, or work through a decision that needs your attention.
3:45–4:00 | Progress and next steps
Capture what you accomplished and schedule your next action.
Bring your laptop and charger, calendar, and any notes or business information that would help you plan. Sharing financial information is optional.
This lab stands on its own.
Join us again November 3 for Build Your Business Plan and December 1 for Make It Happen.
Returning gives you time to test ideas and build on your progress with a familiar group.
Labs will continue quarterly in 2027.
